45) Resilient Little Sprout

I was once a tiny seed, sowed in the soil, Watered regularly, supported with warmth and air, Till one day I sprouted little green buds, Opened up and smiled at the sky and the sun. I grew a little, sprouted some more, I was tiny and it took time but it mattered not, There were a multitude of saplings and plants to keep company, All rising at their own rates and in sweet time. But this is not a fairytale so the sun doesn't always shine, Once upon a time it was a stormy day, I was a bit stronger then but still quite young, Scared but determined not to give up. So while a few delicate things withered I stayed, A little shaken up and a little uprooted, But once the storm passed I rooted myself again, Firmly and deep this time so that I was never again swayed. But my free will was crushed and I was unearthed, And replanted someplace far and scary, There were plants still around, all ages types and heights, But to make my place firm within them was a task. 44) Stranger in my Own World

The familiar lanes, shops by the side, The school, the college which was once a pride, A few seconds and then in a blur it's gone, Yearning a second look I pass by the land where I was born. All memories then begin playing in my mind, Of that blissful life I seem to have left behind, When my days ended in cozy secure nights, When my weekends were sheer delights. That grocery store's curly haired girl, Who on my weekly visits would wave and flash her pearls, Now has a unfamiliar look in her eyes, My face no longer prompts that knowing smile. Those lanes that I once expertly navigated alone and with friends, Now have new shops, restaurants and brands sprung up at ends, As for those once regularly frequented haunts, Now there is no time to visit them at all. The railway station's buzz and the trains are still same, The buses I travelled by, and their routes remain unchanged, But that once regular ordeal is now an experience of luxury, Within a few minut...
